The dynamic duo ALEK (Aleksandar Tomovic) & STEPH (Stephane Marquet), moved to Los Angeles 3.5 years ago and have taken it by the storm. Fans around the world together with fasion and entertainment inustries have constan hunger for their exquisite photography (ever since their very successfull exibits in France and Serbia).

As photographers, ALEK & STEPH have brought their own European artistry to American efficiency. They make the perfect team, creating the magic as they take images simultaneously with two different cameras and work together on the post-production.

Their photography has been published all over the world, on the cover of Men's Health Magazine in Europe, on the cover of Instinct Magazine here in the U.S., inside Cosmopolitain US,... and reaching millions as resident photograpfers for the online and iPad versions of BELLO mag,...

ALEK & STEPH are life and business partners. They moved from Paris in November 2008 to shake things up on this side of the ocean with a distinctive approach to fashion, advertising and celebrity photography. Not only are theses guys great photographers, but they are helping fellow artists get excellent exposure and worldwide recognition. They are also helping models get discovered, musicians create an image, and actors launch (or, re-launch) careers. Hollywood, roll out the red carpet for ALEK & STEPH.

They are known for making those they photograph feel at ease and show the best of themselves. "Creating photographic images is all about looking past that thick layer we all put on to free the real beauty inside", Alek says. And Steph adds: "Once you get to that beauty, it is the photographer’s work to make it look real and to connect with an audience, by telling a story."

Steph is originally from the sunny south of France, but then he moved to Paris, took that “Parisian attitude” everyone talks about and transformed it into something all his own (an art).

Alek is originally from Serbia, but then he moved to Paris, got his MBA degree in business, started teaching the use of photography in marketing, and became a French citizen. Together, they started doing an online photography journal of sorts, something for which there was not yet even a word. Of course, there is a word for it now and it is an integral part of our culture: blogging. 

Yes, ALEK & STEPH were pioneers in photography blogging. You probably already know them from their blog www.ohlalamag.com, which gets over 5 million page views a month. For paper publications, such numbers are the stuff of dreams. For ALEK & STEPH, such numbers are “de rigueur” (which is French for “standard”).
